Our steel house columns come with a base plate that is welded onto a concrete footing, as well as a top plate available in a variety of configurations depending on where the column will be placed. We also offer a wide range of additional accessories such as drilling holes, bracing, and deformed bars.

Why exactly are concrete stumps so often chosen over other materials, such as timber and steel stumps?
The truth is that despite the slightly higher price tag of concrete stumps, they hold many significant advantages.
Our steel stumps are made from high quality Australian grade steel.
Our steel stumps generally include a base plate that is welded onto a concrete footing and a top plate in a standard, corner, half, tee, vertical or 4 way configuration depending on where the beam is being placed.
We can offer hot dip galvanised stumps for those that want that extra protection from the elements or for homes in particularly damp areas. This extra galvanisation can take an additional 10 days to 2 weeks to achieve so keep that in mind in relation to your building schedule. Our steel stumps come in fully customisable lengths and once fabricated, are coated in zinc rich cold galvanised primer for rust prevention and protection. This includes top and base plates and the weld used to join them.
